Xactimate Level 1 & 2 Online Class
Get ready to write property damage estimates using Xactimate in this 3-day online class! Attendees may use Xactimate desktop or Xactimate online. This is a live virtual class, conducted by an Xactimate Certified Trainer. Topics include navigating Xactimate, creating projects, creating to scale interior and roof diagrams, inputting a detailed scope of repairs, distributing your estimate using a variety of professional print reports, and more. To get the most out of class, it is recommended that you have access to your own copy of Xactimate or a free demo. You may use Xactimate desktop or Xactimate online in class.
Note: Xactimate requires a windows operating system and does not run on a Mac operating system. Xactimate Mobile is not covered in this course.

What Previous Xactimate experience is required?
No previous Xactimate experience is required. New Xactimate users are welcome. If you’re just starting to use Xactimate or you’ve been away for a while, this is where you begin! Experienced users will benefit as this is a complete Xactimate refresher. Also, Continuing education credits are available for many users. See CE section below.

- Utilizing the 4-step estimating process to quickly create a project, review your estimate, and export.
- Using construction concepts to build interior and roofing diagrams using sketch.
- Finding line-items related to your current scope of repairs.
- Modifying material pricing, creating miscellaneous and bid-items and/or material analysis line-items.
- Increasing your estimating efficiency by estimating graphically through Sketch!
- Using Annotations and Symbols to effectively document losses.
- Identifying and effective use of keyboard shortcuts.
- Adding, organizing, and annotating images to provide additional clarity and detail.
- Using reference area and reference block properties to affect estimate calculations
- Flooring Tools selection to calculate carpet waste, modify roll direction, and show flooring cuts
- Inspecting your estimate to identify and resolve scoping overlap, omission, and duplication issues.
- Delivering estimate reports in formats best suited to your clients (both internal and external).

Instructor
Sean M. Burgess is an Xactimate Certified Trainer (XCT) and has experience writing estimates for both insurance and restoration companies, which proves a valuable reference for attendees on gaining practical, field-based instruction.
Information is sent to each attendee how to best prepare for class, along with tips for participating in an online session. However, it is the responsibility of each attendee to prepare their computer in advance of class, so they are ready to participate on day 1.

Which version of Xactimate do I need for class?
The instructor will spend the bulk of the class using Xactimate desktop. However, Attendees may also attend using Xactimate online. Xactimate mobile is not covered in this course.
Is the workbook included in course tuition?
Yes. Each attendee receives Xactware’s Xactimate Level 1 and Level 2 Workbook (digital version).
What if I need access to Xactimate?
Watermark course attendees can be added to our Xactimate training instance, upon request (desktop and online platforms), for up to 30 days. This will allow you to follow along with one of Watermark’s live or self-paced training courses, to make the most of the training experience. Xactimate is a windows-based program. Xactimate online version requires the installation of Xactware Click Once and Xactimate Go Writer. These are windows-based programs and do not run on a Mac OS. Xactimate Mobile (IOS or Android) app is not covered in this class.
Is Continuing Education Credit Available?
Yes. Upon successful completion of this course, attendees holding an adjuster license in the states listed below or an IICRC Certification are eligible to receive continuing education credit for their attendance and participation in class.
Note for all CE Attendees: Attendees desiring continuing education credit are expected to attend and participate in the full class, be visible via a webcam during the class presentation (except for breaks) and respond to polls or other questions, etc. as well as meeting any additional requirements as listed below, mandated by their licensing organization/department. No partial credit is available for insurance adjuster CE. Class will typically have a break during each hour of class. Please utilize the break time to check email, respond to phone calls, etc. if CE credit is desired.

*IICRC Certification holders: Approved for 14 CEC hours. Please provide your register number, if available, during course registration or at the beginning of class, as this aids in reporting your CEC credit. CEC hours are based on time in class. Partial credit is available.
